Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 8, 2026

Who we are

Our website address is: https://pittman-construction.com. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our site or contact us about our construction services.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor's IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

If you submit a contact form or project inquiry on our site, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email address, phone number, project address, and any details about your project) so that we can respond to your inquiry and provide a quote or consultation. This information is stored in our website database and may also be forwarded to our team via email. We retain contact form submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries and maintain business records.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics — Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC ("Google"), to help us understand how visitors use our website. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Approximate geographic location (city/region level, derived from IP address)
  • Device, browser, and operating system information
  • Referring website or source
  • Interactions with the site (clicks, scroll depth, form submissions)

This information is used in aggregate to improve our website, content, and services. Google may also use this data in accordance with its own privacy policy, which is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy. IP addresses are anonymized where supported.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Security and performance — Cloudflare

This website uses Cloudflare, a content delivery network and security service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., to help protect the site from malicious activity, deliver content faster, and improve overall reliability. When you visit our site, your request is routed through Cloudflare's global network before reaching our servers.

As part of this service, Cloudflare automatically collects and processes certain information, including:

  • Your IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device and operating system information
  • Referring URL and pages visited
  • Timestamps of requests

Cloudflare may also set cookies (such as __cf_bm and cf_clearance) that are used to distinguish between legitimate visitors and automated traffic, block malicious requests, and manage bot protection. These cookies contain no personally identifiable information and are used solely for security and performance purposes.

For more information about how Cloudflare handles data, please see Cloudflare's privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted third-party services that help us operate our website and business, including:

  • Google Analytics — for website analytics (see above)
  • Cloudflare — for security, caching, and content delivery (see above)
  • Our web host and email provider — for storing website data and delivering email
  • Service providers we engage to help us respond to inquiries and deliver construction services

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Contact form submissions and project inquiries are retained for as long as reasonably necessary for business, legal, and tax purposes.

Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings configured in our Google Analytics account.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

To make a request, please contact us through the contact information provided on our website.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Data collected by Google Analytics and Cloudflare may be transferred to and processed on servers located outside of your country of residence, including in the United States. These providers maintain their own safeguards for international data transfers.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. The "Effective date" at the top of this policy will indicate when it was last revised. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
