Key Duties:

You will be working on a road asphalt crew doing general labor and flagging of roadway traffic. Shifts may vary according to project demands and project locations. Perform incidental work items and duties included within other crafts. Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment. Report any problems to the Foreperson, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.  Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

 

Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age and maintain clean MVR.

 

Physical Demands:

Constant physical effort, including standing and sitting is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day.  Employee must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform Key Duties. Frequently walk and climb on uneven surfaces of heavy equipment. Ability to lift, on a frequent basis, at least 50 pounds and carry at least 30 pounds personally, and up to 150 pounds with assistance. Manual dexterity to operate hand tools. Maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the road construction site, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment. Must be able to climb on and off heavy mobile equipment safely.

Dump Truck Driver

Location: Various Plant Locations (Jefferson, Demorest, Dillard, Lithonia, Oxford, Siloam, Sparta, Buckhead Georgia)

Description:

Dedicated Dump Truck Driver to transport various materials to and from construction job sites.  Hourly position that performs a wide variety of tasks, transferring from one task to another as the work flow dictates.

 

Key Duties:

Operates truck in safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, in the yard area and at various job sites to deliver materials. Trucks driven include but are not limited to: belly dumps, dump truck and semi-tractor truck with attached trailers. Performs daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines. Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment. Report any problems to the Foreperson, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.  MVR must meet company and DOT standards. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Responsibilities include unloading material and supervising the loading of materials onto the truck, inspecting truck for mechanical issues, drive safely and operate in all weather conditions.

 

Qualifications:

Must have a CDL Class B license, prefer Class A.  Clean MVR.

 

Physical Demands:

Job requires climbing, stooping, bending, squatting, frequent lifting of extensions chutes, stretching, sitting/driving, shifting gears, and covering/uncovering load when applicable. Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects or controls, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear. May require sitting for extended periods of time. Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to focus. Must be able to lift hood of truck unassisted; up to 50 lbs. on an on-going basis. Able to climb in and out of truck 3-4 steps (elevated 4+ feet into cab). (Could be in and out of truck 20-30 times per day).

Lowboy Driver

  • Drives truck with low-boy trailer with equipment to and from garage or storage site to work site. · Load and unload equipment · Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records. · Follow appropriate standard operating procedures as guideline for operating and maintaining vehicle. · Performs other duties as assigned.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities:
